The Inflatable Rescue Cushion (also known as a Jump Cushion or Air Cushion) is ideal for rescuing people from heights when a ladder can’t be used.
The inflatable frame supports a cushion which is divided into two chambers. A person landing on the cushion causes it to temporarily deform, and thus absorb the force of the landing. On removing the person, the cushion recovers its form within a few seconds.
- Light weight, easily transported, and simply positioned even when inflated
- Inflated from Fire Service standard breathing-air cylinders
- Can be placed on almost any surface including gravel and kerbstones (but obviously avoiding very sharp objects or glowing embers!)
- Very stable: always deforms towards the centre
- High internal air pressure minimises the need for topping up
- Available in 3 sizes (see Specifications tab): maximum jump height of up to 40 metres
- Quick to recover: maximum recovery time of only 20 seconds for the large-size (10 seconds for the small-size)
- After use, it can be easily deflated and re-packed on site, ready for stowage and re-use
- We provide the complete solution, including any necessary technical training in its operation and maintenance
